They say that one day a wise old man with great knowledge went to the mountains in search of a stone that could protect his people from dark forces. After a long search, he found a crystal black as night, which had extraordinary energy.
The elder brought it to the village, and soon people noticed that they were no longer bothered by nightmares, illnesses and bad thoughts. The stone seemed to absorb all the negativity. So the cherl became a symbol of protection and spiritual purity.
I use metal, usually gold and silver, and gemstones and minerals in my work, including pearl, moonstone, sapphire, amethyst, emerald, topaz, smoky quartz, hepatite, black tourmaline and others.
